A police bodycam captured an Oklahoma cop violenting slamming an old man suffering bone cancer on the ground after he committed a traffic violation, would not accept his ticket, opted for arrest, and poked the officer on the chest, telling him to shut up
The event was also captured by a nearby surveillance camera. It showed the officer throwing the 71-year-old Vietnamese man on the ground, leaving the cancer patient severely injured by the fall.
It happened in Oklahoma City on October 27, when a man, named Lich Vu made an improper U-turn that led to an accident with another female driver on Northwest 39th Street near Meridian Avenue in Oklahoma City.
The cop, identified as Joseph Gibson, issued tickets to both Lich and the woman, but the elderly man refused to sign his, despite the officer telling him he might be arrested for his refusal.
Lich, who was with his wife in his car was surprised at the turn of events and instead said he would rather go to jail. “She hitting me and I got the citation”, he asked hysterically, as he got out of his car to demonstrate to the police how the accident happened.
While he was explaining, he poked the cop on the chest and told him to shut up. The officer responded by immediately turning him around, slamming him on the ground, and putting a cuff around his hands. A close-up look at the cancer patient revealed a bruised face as he lay somewhat unconscious.

Lich’s daughter faulted the officer because his father was not good in English and his reaction might have been triggered by their poor communication following the trauma from the accident. She later shared updates on her father’s health status, saying he was now okay but still had visible bruises and sometimes felt frustrated because he did not remember what happened and why he was at the hospital.
The matter is currently being investigated by the Oklahoma City Police Department. while Gibson have been placed on administrative leave
