The first goal of the match was scored by Mac Allister in the 52nd minute with a short-range shot from inside the box, finally beating Real Madrid’s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who had denied Liverpool a goal earlier through impressive saves.

The goal marks Gakpo’s sixth goal in the Champions League at Anfield and shows the dominance of the team in the ongoing Champions League.
Liverpool has won 17 of the 19 matches that they played so far under new head coach Arne Slot after Jurgen Klopp’s departure from the team. This win also means that Slot has surpassed Klopp’s record by beating Real Madrid.
