Jay Leno has a history of falling. Months after he revealed he fell off his bike and broke his bones, the elderly TV host has again fallen from a 60-foot hill, leaving him with an injured face, swollen eye, and broken middle finger. His blackened and swollen eye is likened to the facial features of alleged adrenochrome users as seen in many celebrities and public figures referred to as the black eye club (video below):
Other social media users suspected that he must have been beaten as a punishment for praising the outcome of the election which he referred to as “fair” and “a great day for democracy”, following Trump’s victory.
The format host of “Tonight Show,” who is now 74 years old, suffered major scratches on the left side of his face, including a broken wrist, and also lost a fingernail in the cause of falling down from the hill.
According to Leno, the fall happened when he was on his way for dinner time on Saturday night, at a place that is close to Hampton Inn, almost 30 miles away from Pittsburgh, where he stayed in preparation for a show around the place. He mentioned this before his performance on Monday night in Beverly Hills.
He included that he was directed by a staff member at the hotel to walk a mile and a half to a restaurant in the absence of a car. While the star decided to beat the journey by going through a shortcut, the old man ended up falling instead.
In an interview with “Inside Edition,” Leno, wearing a patch over his left eye, revealed his swollen face and injuries on camera. Lifting the patch, he showed his eye swollen shut. Despite the painful mishap, Leno maintained his humor, performing as scheduled, proving his resilience and dedication to entertaining his fans. Video below:
