Videos: Trump’s Pennsylvania Rally Features Mentions of Arnold Palmer’s Private Area and Attacks on Harris

Trump's Pennsylvania Rally Features Unusual Arnold Palmer Tribute and Attacks on Harris, Ahead of Busy Campaign Weekend

Rather than diving straight into important political issues, former President Donald Trump dedicated more than 10 minutes at his rally Saturday evening in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, to talking about the private area of late golf legend Arnold Palmer. This event kicks off his intensive campaign weekend in this vital swing state.

To his supporters, this is nothing new as Trump’s recent appearances have been gaining much attention for their unpredictable nature. Just a few days ago, the GOP nominee attended a town hall in Montgomery County and was captured swaying on stage to his playlist for a considerable amount of time.

During his rally yesterday, Donald Trump started his speech with something of a tribute to Arnold Palmer, the Latrobe native. Trump remarked, “Arnold Palmer was all man,” and went on to share some rather explicit details about the golfer, saying, “When he took showers with the other pros, they came out of there saying, ‘Oh my God, that’s unbelievable.’”

When Donald Trump eventually shifted to political issues, he directed his strongest criticism toward Vice President Kamala Harris, his Democratic opponent. At one point, he stirred up the crowd by calling her “a sh** vice president” and labeling her “the worst vice president.” The event also included appearances from some of his Republican allies, such as U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser and GOP Senate candidate Dave McCormick.

Generally, the rally had a fluctuating tone, often swinging between pointed political jabs and personal anecdotes, with Trump frequently diverting from discussions about border security and immigration to touch on tangential topics.

Harris’s campaign has specifically targeted Trump’s rally performances, questioning his fitness for office. At a rally in Atlanta, Harris pointed out that Trump “tends to go off script and ramble and generally for the life of him cannot finish a thought.” She added that “he is only focused on himself, and now he’s ducking debates and canceling interviews because of exhaustion.”

As earlier mentioned, this rally kicked off a busy weekend for Trump in Pennsylvania. He is scheduled for an appearance at a McDonald’s in Bucks County and will later be holding a town hall in Lancaster. This flurry of activity comes as he and Harris are neck-and-neck in the polls, with only 16 days to go until the elections.

Donald Trump’s campaign has received a boost from tech billionaire Elon Musk, who has scheduled a town hall in Pittsburgh for Sunday. In response, the Democrats are ramping up their efforts with some strategic counter-programming.
