Dominic Solanke opened up himself for Tottenham as Ange Postecoglou’s side got a 3-1 win against Brantford in an interesting game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Brentford scored the first goal in the match just 22 seconds into the game, as Bryan Mbeumo converted a cross from Keane Lewis-Potter into the top corner, but Tottenham ended up taking charge of the first half.

Dominic Solanke silenced his critics and proved his worth by scoring an equalizing goal seven minutes after Mbeumo’s opener. He was up immediately after a shot from James Maddison parried into his side by Brentford goalkeeper Mark Flekken.

Tottenham did not relent in the first half after equalizing, as they took the lead in the 28th minute when Heung-Min Son set up Brennan Johnson, who hot-shot across Flekken, who stands as one of the busiest goalkeepers in today’s league.

While Brentford had a disorganized defense that compounded their worst, they had a rare opportunity to make it a draw when Mbeumo’s attempt was faced by Guglielmo Vicario, Tottenham’s goalkeeper, who controversially appeared to keep the ball outside his box moments later.

Cristian Romero’s counter-attack that linked with Son, who generously passed the ball to Maddison, giving him the opportunity to chip the ball over Flekken, gave the final blow.

This second win in the season put Tottenham in the 10th position on the Premier League table as Brentford, who have lost more points from winning positions than any other club since last season, moved down to 12th position.
