Country music star Morgan Wallen has postponed the second night of his “One Night at a Time” tour in Tampa, Florida, due to health concerns. The singer announced on social media that he would be unable to perform on Friday, July 12, 2024, as scheduled.
Wallen explained that he had attempted to perform while ill during Thursday night’s show in Tampa but woke up feeling significantly worse on Friday. In a statement, he said,
“I would not give you guys anywhere near 100% tonight and as a result, I need to move tonight’s Tampa show to Oct. 4.”
The postponement affects a large number of fans, as Raymond James Stadium officials had expected over 150,000 attendees for both Thursday and Friday night’s performances. The high demand for tickets was evident, with some resale pit tickets reportedly selling for up to $1,600.
In addition to the Tampa show, Morgan Wallen also announced the rescheduling of his upcoming Charlotte shows at Bank of America Stadium. These performances, originally set for the following week, have been moved to October 18 and 19, 2024.
The “One Night at a Time” tour, which began in Indianapolis in April, was initially scheduled to conclude in Dublin on September 8. However, these changes will extend the tour into October.
In response to the cancellation, fellow artist Jelly Roll stepped in to offer a free performance at Dallas Bull on Friday night for ticket holders of the canceled show. This last-minute arrangement was offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
