Three people were killed and another 16 injured when the glass railing they were resting on broke off due to their combined weight, leaving them to fall from the third floor of the building.
The tragic incident happened in San Luis Potosí on June 7, 2024, at the Rich Bar in Plaza Altus, San Luis Potosí, Mexico when attendees crowded as they awaited the performance of Kevin Moreno, a singer from Culiacán, Sinaloa.
The people rested on the glass railing in the corridor, putting excessive pressure on the protective barrier, which at a point, gave way, leading to some falling to their deaths and others sustaining various degrees of physical injuries and emotional breakdowns – five being in critical condition.
Kevin Moreno’s performance was also canceled as a result.
