For Taylor Swift, her love for Grey’s Anatomy has truly stood the test of time and 20 seasons. The pop superstar’s devotion to the long-running medical drama was recently affirmed by none other than her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce.
In an Instagram post, Grey’s Anatomy actor Anthony Hill revealed he got the inside scoop on Swift’s viewing habits directly from Kelce during a recent encounter. “I may or may not have gotten confirmation that TSwift does, in fact, still watch Grey’s Anatomy,” Hill wrote alongside a photo with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
Hill, who plays Dr. Winston Ndugu on the show, jokingly added that Kelce made it clear “he absolutely does not watch with her.” The actor then playfully urged Kelce to join Swift for some couple’s viewing: “Time to start bruh!”
Swift’s affinity for the Shonda Rhimes-created series dates back over a decade. In 2008, she described her “Anatomy” admiration as “my life’s goal” after debuting her song “White Horse” during the Season 5 premiere. Three years later, the singer named her first cat “Meredith Grey” after Ellen Pompeo’s titular character.
The “Anti-Hero” artist’s Grey’s fandom even extended to recruiting Pompeo for a cameo in her 2015 “Bad Blood” music video.
“Her people called my people and said, ‘Would you like to be in this video?’ And I was like, ‘Of course, that would be so fun,'” the actress recalled during one interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
While Swift has yet to make an on-screen appearance on the show, her loyalty to Grey’s Anatomy remains strong over 10 years after first publicly professing her love. Thanks to boyfriend Kelce’s confirmation, Swifties can rest assured their idol is still tuning in each week to get her dose of the medical dramatics at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
