Getafe Vs Real Madrid: Arda Güler’s Only Goal Raises Team’s Stakes

Getafe Vs Real Madrid: Arda Güler's Only Goal Proves The Team Is Still In Form

The highly contested match between Getafe and Real Madrid on Wednesday at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez saw Madrid win through a goal from Arda Güler.

Arda, a 20-year-old Turkish midfielder, proved his worth once again to manager Carlo Ancelotti, delivering an outstanding performance in the game with a 67 out of 77 passes.

His efforts were crowned in the 38th minute through a well-placed shot that went past Getafe’s goalkeeper David Soria. The goal would eventually turn out to be the only one in the match.

With ggbet esports betting stakes rising for Real Madrid, as they prepare to face Barcelona in the Copa del Rey finals on Sunday, Ancelotti strategically rotated his team while resting key players like Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé, and giving risers like Güler, Brahim Díaz, and Aurélien Tchouaméni a chance to prove themselves.

Despite this, Real Madrid proved itself as a major contender as they had the most control throughout the match, though some uptick was seen from Getafe’s side, especially towards the end.

However, do not feel too confident if you are rooting for Real Madrid to come out victorious against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey finals. While their performance is noteworthy, you should not ignore their injury report.

While Madrid went home victorious after their encounter with Getafe, they also went back to nurse some injuries that were sustained during the match.

David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga sustained injuries to their legs, affecting their muscle tissues. This casts a huge doubt on their availability to play in their upcoming fixture.

This is in addition to star player Kylian Mbappe, who got injured during their match against Arsenal. The 26-year-old forward, whom Ancelotti said was the best in the world, held on to his ankle in pain and leaped off the pitch. Interestingly, the match ended with a 2-1 defeat to Madrid’s side.

It is also unknown if Real Madrid’s Ferland Mendy will appear against Barcelona. The left-back had suffered a hamstring injury during the second leg of the round-of-16 tie against Atletico Madrid on March 12.

Though Mendy has recovered and was seen training with the Real Madrid squad, alongside Mbappe, after being out for 6 weeks, his long absence from the game might exclude him from the starting lineup.

With Real Madrid tallying second place behind first-placed Barcelona, their ability to rise over injuries and maintain form will once again be tested.
