Here are the reactions of people to the video of a transgender working as a flight attendant for Virgin Atlantic Airlines.
The male transgender who some say could also be a crossdresser, in line with the airline’s new policy, was seen dressed in their usual bright red color and matching it with a red hilled shoe and lipstick.
Here are what some had to say about getting served by a transgender air hostess:
“I’m not getting on that plane”, M.R. Dula says.
“Yep, he looks like he plays with gas nozzles”, I’m Awesome.
“So long as he does his job most people including me don’t care about his sexuality”, Neil C said. “But not many people appreciate the faux squealing and drama that comes with a certain type of modern diverse cabin crew”.
“As long as the dude brings me my drink on time and doesn’t spit in it I’m fine 😉”, Ryan supported.
Virgin Atlantic in an update to its gender identity policy removed the requirement for its employees to wear gendered uniform options, enabling them to wear the clothing that expresses how they identify or present themselves. A previous announcement allowed its employees to make up how they want and visibly show their tattoos on their body.
The airline’s policy also allowed “optional pronoun badges, ticketing system amends to allow for passport holders with gender neutral gender markers to use their gender codes and titles, mandatory inclusivity training for staff and training in destination with tourism and hotel partners”.
