The opulent affair celebrated the forthcoming nuptials of Anant Ambani, the youngest scion of Mukesh Ambani’s family, to Radhika Merchant, set to take place later this year.
Mukesh Ambani, ranked as the ninth-richest person globally with a staggering net worth of $117.8 billion according to Forbes, serves as the chairman of Reliance Industries, a diversified conglomerate spanning sectors from oil and gas to telecommunications.
The festivities commenced on Friday with a spectacular performance by international sensation Rihanna, attended by Meta CEO Zuckerberg and Microsoft co-founder Gates.
Zuckerberg’s presence is notable given Facebook’s substantial investment of $5.7 billion in Jio Platforms Limited, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, in 2020. Furthermore, Meta introduced a feature in 2022 allowing users to seamlessly browse and purchase products on JioMart, a grocery app, within WhatsApp.
Similarly, Microsoft has engaged in various collaborations with Reliance Industries and its subsidiaries.
The lavish celebration unfolded in Jamnagar city, Gujarat, India, attracting a constellation of stars from Bollywood, including Shah Rukh Khan, alongside notable figures like Ivanka Trump, daughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, who reportedly graced the occasion.
According to Reuters, guests were treated to a culinary extravaganza, with approximately 100 chefs conjuring up an astonishing array of 500 dishes, as outlined in a planning document.
