Trump administration had begun firing employees at weather forecasting and oceans agencies in a bid to reduce the size of government workers.
The laid-off employees constituted workers in weather, oceans, biodiversity, climate, and other research. More employees are also expected to be laid off.
Many of the affected workers are citizens who have been employed for a year or less and they plan on suing Trump’s administration in every way they can.
Several citizens have lost their jobs in Trump’s new America’s meddling, and then you wonder if the man truly knows what he is doing. The weather and climate forecasting agency is already understaffed, and then more workers are being taken away.
Climate specialists have shown concerns, especially now that the United States has faced multiple natural disasters.
Andrew Hazelton, a researcher with a PhD in meteorology also found himself on the chopping block as he was removed from his job at the National Hurricane Center.
“I enjoy meteorology because weather affects everyone, and there’s always so much to learn,” Hazelton said in his bio.
“Growing up in Florida, I experienced several hurricanes, and it thrills me to be able to study and analyze them in my career.”
Trump has been making big changes since he became the president of the United States for the second time. He has signed multiple executive orders removing and changing things and a lot of people and countries have been affected.
