Trump And Vance Berate Zelensky In A Tense White House Meeting

Tensions picked up in the Oval Office in the United States on Friday as chefs in the White House prepared collard greens and rosemary chicken.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, was confronted by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance in a tough argument capable of straining both countries’ relations.

The Ukraine leader was advised to shift attention on avoiding further conflict with Russia and focus on a minerals deal, but the meeting ended in deadlock as all parties engaged in a shouting session.

Earlier, before the meeting started, Zelensky was warned by leaders in Europe, including French President Emmanuel Macron, to be careful in the way he will handle President Donald Trump.

A right-wing journalist asked about Zelensky’s military attire before the session started. He also presented to the newly sworn-in president of the United States a UFC belt from Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, but the part was not really noticed.

Trump spent more than 40 minutes engaging in conversations that revolved around the minerals deal, but it did not take much after that; the conversation soon became hostile. Arguments ensued through the West Wing that sent shocks to the aides around the corner.

The Ukrainian president was caught in a situation that could cause bad consequences on U.S.-Ukraine diplomacy despite efforts to ensure a smooth conversation.
