Drea De Matteo, the Emmy-winning actress best known for her roles in “The Sopranos” and “Sons of Anarchy”, has opened up about how joining OnlyFans helped her overcome a severe financial crisis that threatened to ruin her life.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, De Matteo revealed that she had lost acting jobs due to her stance against mandatory vaccinations and had no other source of income. This led to her facing foreclosure on her house, which had also flooded, while only having $10 in her bank account. She also had to take care of her two children and her mother who suffers from dementia.
“I was trying to sell the house quickly. I wanted to try and sell it before they took it. At the same time, I lost my mom, and my other mom, who has dementia, had run out of money for her caregiver. I didn’t know which way was up.”
That’s when she decided to create an account on OnlyFans, the adult subscription platform where users can pay to see exclusive content from celebrities and influencers.
Drea De Matteo said that she was hesitant at first, but within five minutes of posting her first photos, she made enough money to pay back her real estate company and save her house. She said that OnlyFans “saved my life, 100 percent” and that she doesn’t care about the criticism she might receive from others.
“Anybody that wants to condemn me and put me down, go for it. I just hope you never find yourself in the position I was in to take care of two little kids…It saved my home of many years that was very important to us…..I just don’t care. I don’t. I’d rather save my family than save face.”
She also said that she plans to use the money she earns from OnlyFans to fund her own streetwear brand, Ultrafree.
Drea De Matteo is not the only celebrity who makes use of the OnlyFans platform. Stars like Cardi B, Bella Thorne, Tyler Posey, and Denise Richards have also created accounts on the platform and have attracted millions of subscribers.
