Barbie and Taylor Swift Win Big at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards

The 2024 People’s Choice Awards, hosted by Simu Liu, celebrated the best in movies, music, TV, and pop culture on Sunday night.

The fans voted for their favorites in 45 categories, and the winners were announced live from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

The biggest winners of the night were Barbie and Taylor Swift, taking 5 and 3 awards respectively.

Barbie won the People’s Choice Awards for Movie of the Year, Movie Performance of the Year, Female Movie Star, Male Movie Star of the Year, and Comedy Movie of the Year. Swift won the Best Female Artist of 2024, Social Celebrity of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year, and Concert Tour of the Year.

Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was also honored with an award as well ~ Athlete of the Year.

The Last of Us, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and Only Murders in the Building all took two awards in categories with big contenders.

Oppenheimer didn’t dominate the PCAs as it did earlier that night at the BAFTAS, the British equivalent to the American Oscars, where it swept 7 of the awards for major categories.

However, it received more than a few nods and also took home the Drama Movie of the Year.
