Actress and comedian Kate Micucci, 43, has revealed that she is in the process of recovering from surgery following a diagnosis of lung cancer.
The “Big Bang Theory” star provided an update on her recent surgery through a TikTok post over the weekend.
“This is not a TikTok it’s a sick Tok,” Micucci said from her hospital bed, adding that the surgery was successful, and she is “all good now.”
“They caught it really early,” she said about the cancer, adding that she had “never smoked a cigarette.”
Apart from her role as Lucy on “The Big Bang Theory,” Micucci has made appearances on shows like “Scrubs” and “Will & Grace.” She has also lent her voice to animated characters in series such as “Steven Universe,” “Milo Murphy’s Law,” and “Scooby-Doo.”
Micucci mentioned that she will be taking things slowly in the upcoming weeks but expressed eagerness to resume her passion for painting.
Known for sharing her hand-drawn cartoons on social media, Micucci’s creative endeavors extend beyond acting. She is also one half of the musical comedy duo Garfunkel and Oates, alongside Riki Lindhome.
