According to comments online, many believe Matt Petgrave intentionally kicked and killed Adam Johnson after reviewing a slow playback of the deadly Nottingham Panthers vs Sheffield Steelers hockey accident video.
According to online comments, Petgrave intentionally raised his legs backward, hitting his skate on Johnson’s throat.

The call for Matt Petgrave’s arrest was sought after. He was also alleged to have a history of playing rough at games and once, took the blade end of his stick and forcefully jabbed it into another player.
The hockey accident occurred when 29-year-old former NHL player Adam Johnson died after an Ice collision during his English team’s game on Saturday.
The ugly incident happened during the second period of the Panther’s game against the Sheffield Steelers.
The game was immediately stopped by officials, as Johnson who was bleeding profusely was led out of the ice.
“We offer our deepest condolences to Adam’s family and friends, as well as all of Adam’s past and present teammates and coaches. The Pittsburgh Penguins said. “Adam will always be a part of the Penguins family. It was our honor to watch him fulfill his dream of playing in the National Hockey League.”
The NHL also released a statement, saying, “Our prayers and deepest condolences go to his family, friends and teammates.”
