Video: House Fly On Mars Rover

Another clip of “What did I just watch” emerged on the internet after a regular housefly was seen on a Mars rover. However, on a quick check, we discovered that the video was edited to include the housefly.

The fake video aimed to put a dent in the authenticity of NASA’s space exploration claims.

Watch the video below:

The edited video was taken from footage from NASA that was published on February 24, 2021, and the fact-checking was also supported by Reuters, which also cited a NASA representative acknowledging that the viral fake video was an altered copy from the original.

However, despite the discovery of this malicious attempt to make NASA’s imagery appear fake, many still believe that a lot of their released images of planets and the moon are studio makeovers. The grandest of them being the moon landing.

Facts are verifiable, and opinions are free. So while that debate lingers on, this particular one has been settled.
