A video that alleges to show India’s Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs falling into a septic tank under construction, while she was inspecting is not true.
In the purported video, a woman who was said to be the Minister was with some individuals when the platform they were standing on collapsed underneath, and they fell inside a trench.
The accompanying text claims that the collapse can be blamed on substandard workmanship due to corruption and fake qualifications.
According to a check, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, the Indian Minister for Housing, was not there among those who fell into the drain.
The trending video was initially published on 16 May 2016 and shows the incident involving BJP Member of Parliament Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam and not theMinister for Housingand Urban Affairs.
According to reports, Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam was talking with some people standing on a slab during demolitions in Jamnagar, Gujarat when the slab gave way and they fell into the 10-foot drain.
