The statue of MLK, Martin Luther King Jr., hugging his wife, which is called “Embrace” got many negative feedback after people said it looks like a penis, was the ugliest thing ever, and a continued sign that blacks are still not free from racism because of their missing heads and incomplete body.
The statue which was unveiled in Boston sought to depict the moment Martin Luther King Jr. hugged his wife, Coretta Scott King, after winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.
The monument which shows only the arms and shoulders of the couple, weighs 309 pounds and is located on the ground he gave his speech on April 23, 1965.
However, the piece of artwork which was created by Hank Willis Thomas seemed not to be appealing to the eyes, as it was termed the “ugliest thing ever” and was said to look like a man’s manhood or penis.

Others queired why their entire bodies was not created and worse, why their heads were missing, adding it was part of racism and marginalization still rubbed on black people in the face of honor.
