According to her her publicist, Craig Schneider, actress Annie Wersching is dead after battling cancer.
Annie Wersching is best known for her movie role in “24” where she acted as FBI agent Renee Walker.
Annie who died at the age of 45 years old, also provided the voice for Tess in “The Last of Us” video game.
A GoFundMe campaign has been created to raise funds for her family.
Annie Wersching Battle With Cancer & Cause of Death
Although cancer has not been officially reported as Annie Wersching’s cause of death, she was diagnosed with it in 2020 (two years ago).
Early Life & Acting Career
Annie Wersching was born on 28 March 1977 in St. Louis, Missouri, and had her first acting role in a 2002 episode of “Star Trek: Enterprise.” She also acted in other movie series such as; “Frasier,” “Supernatural” and “Charmed” before landing recurring roles as Amelia Joffe in “General Hospital” and Renee Walker in “24.”
Wersching would later join “Timeless,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “Extant” as recurring characters. Wersching also acted in “Runaways” and “The Rookie.”
Wersching’s husband, Stephen Full, in a statement to CNN, said; “There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall.
Annie Wersching is survived by her husband, Stephen, and three children (sons), Eddie, Ozzie and Archie, aged 12, 9, and 4 years old respectively.
