After over two years, Megan Thee Stallion finally got justice served to Tory Lanez who she accused of shooting her in the foot after they left a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s house in Los Angeles.
Tory Lanez was found guilty by the jury of all three felony charges levied against him; assault with a semi-automatic firearm, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm, and negligent discharge of a firearm.
Tory Lanez had shot Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete in the foot as she exited the car following an argument between both rappers.
“I started walking away and I hear Tory yell, ‘Dance, b***h,” she tearfully testified, according to Billboard. “I froze. I just felt shock. I felt hurt. I looked down at my feet and I see all of this blood”, Megan, 27 years old, had said in her speech.
At a time, she wished Tory had killed her because of the damage the shooting had done to her.
“I can’t hold conversations with people for a long time. I don’t feel like I want to be on this earth. I wish he would have just shot and killed me if I knew I would have to go through this torture.”
Kelsey Harris, Tory Lanez’s assistant was also with them in the car at the time of the shooting and she also testified in court though was visibly hesitant, prompting Tory Lanez’s defense attorney, George Mgdsesyan to ask her if she had been bribed by Lanez. She answered with a firm no.
However, Kelsey Harris had said in a testimony that Tory Lanez had offered both her and Megan $1 million each not to report the incident.
The jury which comprised five men and seven ladies deliberated from Thursday and gave their verdict on Friday.
After the verdict was read, 30 years old Tory Lanez, real name Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson was handcuffed and taken out of the courtroom. He risks a maximum prison sentence of 22 years and might be deported from the United States back to Canada.
