Policewoman, Clare Ogden went to trial for a misconduct charge after filming herself having a solo sexual act and sending it to her partner.
Although the Policewoman says she does not see what she is as misconduct since she had to give her partner what he wanted, she might probably be wrong for doing it in uniform.
Clare, 40, accepts allegations she recorded sensitive information on her personal mobile phone and sent it to a third party, as the police also found some questionable info on her phone.
In a search of the former officer’s personal mobile phone, 72 photographs and five videos of policing information were found which the force says breaches confidentiality.
In the police force, all cases are sensitive and should not be shared with the public unless it is officially released to help get justice for a crime.
The 72 images contained pictures of evidence bags to images of police screens which she sent to a third party because she found them funny.
One of the pictures also contained the personal details of a registered sex offender, along with two additional photos of what he looked like.
34 of the 72 images contained pictures of cases and individuals who could be harmed if it got leaked.
The prosecutor for the case, Cleveland, said:
“She seeks to downplay the seriousness of this matter. She says it has never gone outside of the police family. That completely misses the point.”
While speaking to the panel reviewing her case, the policewoman said:
“I don’t think I have experienced embarrassment and shame like it.”
“I just wish I hadn’t done it. It was a five-to-seven-second moment of my life that I will regret for the rest of it.”
“Joining the force, I was really proud, it seemed like the natural career following in the footsteps of my parents as it were.”
