It was recently revealed how Megan Thee Stallion appeared and twerked on the She-Hulk cameo. Actress Tatiana Maslany, who plays lawyer Jennifer Walters (aka She-Hulk), was approached by head writer Jessica Gao about a vital cameo in the third episode of Marvel Studios’ “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” about two weeks before filming began.
In She-Hulk, Dennis Bukowski (Drew Matthews), a chronic mansplainer and Jennifer’s former D.A. office coworker, accuses an Asgardian shapeshifter of defrauding him by pretending to be a huge celebrity that Dennis had no chance in hell of ever dating.
The producers of the show had been debating which celebrity would be most suited for the part for weeks. Rapper Megan Thee Stallion was chosen as the ideal choice for the cameo in the end.
To be sure, Maslany was not reserved in her enthusiasm for Megan.
Director and executive producer Kat Coiro claims that Megan’s “She-Hulk” costar Jameela Jamil, who collaborated with Megan on the HBO Max reality competition series “Legendary,” suggested using her.
Megan Thee Stallion is mentioned several times during the program, but she doesn’t get much screen time. She-Hulk and Megan really have their biggest scene together after the credits, when they take a little twerk break in She-office Hulk’s to the tune of Megan’s smash song “Body.”
Megan previously discussed her aspirations in the film industry and said that she hopes to work as a director someday.
The top-charting rap artist identified herself as a “film buff” as well.
