A relative of former president Dr. Goodluck Jonathan who served as the previous Bayelsa State Commissioner was abducted on June 1 at Otuogidi in the state’s Ogbia Local Government Area.
In a video posted by journalist Jackson Ude on Twitter, Mike Ogiasa can be seen in a shallow grave full of water, his hand restrained, and pleading for assistance from his family.
Engr. Ogiasa served as state commissioner for special duties (federal project) and special adviser on power development during the tenure of Seriake Dickson. He was also in charge of organizing Voice of the South-South, a sociopolitical group.
