A gang of alleged kidnappers or robbers were bursted by the army at the Onitsha-Asaba head bridge route after they posed as a registered transport company bus plying the Onitsha to Lagos route to lure people in.
According to the report, a victim had boarded the bus to take him to Asaba, where he would get another bus going to Lagos.
He said the bus had many passengers, as seen from the video, who unknown to him, were all part of the kidnap gang.
He, an army personnel, and his friend bought the ticket and as they were set for the journey, the bus driver announced that they would be going to Lagos, which he agreed to, after discussing with the passengers.
He however suspected that they were been abducted and quietly called the army checkpoint at the forefront to stop the bus, after giving out their details.
The bus was stopped at the army checkpoint and the gang was bursted.
It was intriguing as the kidnap gang neatly disguised themselves as regular passengers, with many female members.
