A spokesman for Meta confirmed to CNN that Kanye West has been suspended from Instagram for making a racial insult intended at “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah.
According to Meta, West broke the platform’s hate speech, bullying, and harassment regulations. For the next 24 hours, he is prohibited from publishing, commenting, or taking any other actions, and the firm will take further action if necessary, according to the spokesperson.
After Noah criticized the rapper’s behavior of his former wife Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend comedian Pete Davidson in a “Daily Show” piece Tuesday, West posted a slur directed at him on Wednesday.
In the episode, Noah stated, “You may not feel sorry for Kim since she’s rich and famous.” “However, it’s scary to witness what she’s going through, and it puts a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave.”
West substituted the lyrics of “Kumbaya” with a racial insult in his Instagram picture, which has since been removed. Noah had commented before the article was taken down by expressing his appreciation for West as an artist and his genuine worry for him and his family.
