President of the United States, Donald Trump, may seek another term in office, directly disobeying the 22nd Amendment of the United States Constitution.
When asked about it in a recent interview. Trump hinted that a third term is not off the cards. However, he is focused on his current term as President.
He also noted that there are many ways he can come back as President after serving his second term which is concerning. Do you promote the disobedience of the Constitution as a President?
The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, which has been used for almost seven decades, States that ‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.’ So whether Trump has the backing of some people or not, he should not be going for another term.
This is not the first time Trump has hinted at possibly coming back for another term after his supposedly last term. To some, his first term was a disaster. We are still at the beginning of his second term. Is it not too early to assume the American people want you for another term?
In recent rallies and public events, Trump has managed to squeeze the question of running for another four years to his supporters. It’s a subtle way of saying, ‘I actually want to run for another term, even if you think I’m joking now.’
America is governed by a constitution that is superior to any position or office in the country. So, if it is tweaked and Trump can run for a third term, it means Barrack Obama could also run, Joe Biden could run for two more terms, and even Bill Clinton.
The world is watching the United States for the next few years to see how future political events are going to unfold.
