Reports have it that Burkina Faso swore in Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba as the new president of the country days after he forcefully took over government through a coup.
It can be recollected that Damiba overthrow the former president, Roch Kabore without any physical violence because of the ex-president’s inability to curb the further rate of insecurity in the country which has claimed the lives of many citizens.
Damiba was sworn in front of the people of Burkina Faso by the Junta as he pledged to rule and abide by the constitution which governs the country.
