BlackBerry has finally closed down to matters concerning its mobile devices.
The final stop came after the company previously announced in September 2020, that it would stop updating its operating system and software.
The company wrote on its website; “as of this date, devices running these legacy services and software through either carrier or Wi-Fi connections will no longer reliably function, including for data, phone calls, SMS and 9-1-1 (emergency) functionality.”
BlackBerry phones running on the Android operating system are also affected as the company said it would no longer provide updates to any of its related services.
The BlackBerry company which totally lost its market share on mobile phones to Android and iPhones, now focuses on cybersecurity software.
