The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has advised people against traveling and partying on cruise ships.
“Since the identification of the omicron variant, there has been an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases among cruise passengers and crew.
“Even fully vaccinated travelers may be at risk for getting and spreading covid-19 variants”
It further warned those who are at higher risks of severe illness from Covid-19 to avoid traveling on cruise ships.
However, the Cruise Lines International Association are not happy with the red alert placed on their business.
According to them, the number of cases identified on their ships is a far cry from that been reported on land.
