Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has signed the anti-open grazing bill into law on Monday.
The bill is meant to prohibit open cattle grazing in the state.
The Governor revealed on his Facebook page.
“I signed the Law to prohibit open cattle grazing, and the trespass of cattle on land in Lagos state. By this act, the Bill has now become a law,”
Speaker of Lagos State House Of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa had earlier said that herders should be trained and adequately prepared for ranching.
“Allocating parcel of land is not enough but there should be training of those who would go into ranching because ranching is expensive and required adequate preparation,” he said.
