During the presentation of a book on the biography of Pastor Folorunsho Kumuyi titled “Kumuyi, Defender of the Faith”, vice president Yemi Osinbajo directed preachers to pay tax and he called it Pentecost tax.
VP Osinbajo said there are 3 types of tax which successful people should pay;
The first is the personal income tax and company income tax for registered companies. The second type of tax is the social tax or philanthropy, which is basically voluntarily giving back to the society. Perhaps, social responsibilities fall under this category.
The third is the civic tax, which he explained to be the obligation of successful people to share their success stories inorder to encourage others.
He then went further to introduce the forth type of tax, the Pentecost tax, which is for successful preachers of the gospel of Jesus Christ, urging them to always share their missionary journies, miracles and other experiences.
