Angela Nwosu who refers to herself as Digital Ogbanje recently made a Facebook post where she revealed her earnings from Facebook, alleging that she earned $103 under 24 hours and that is how Facebook has been blessing her back-to-back.
“Negodu my facebook page earnings under 24 hours. This facebook dey bless me back to back sha. This is what I am talking about, build your name into a brand and make as much money as you can, forget the background noises, it all comes with success, ighotago?Abeg eeh, who sabi maths for here? Help me calculate this daily earnings by 30 days, then convert the result you get to naira, tell me how much it is. That’s what I likely to make every month on facebook. Congratulations to me jare, I am definitely doing very well A huge congratulations to us “
However, on a closer look, one would discover her claims are actually false, as the earnings graph which she shared is empty with just a single spike. It means there was no previous income activity whatsoever, until that particular day she made $103 dollars!
Also Facebook, as well as other analytical metrics compares current growth with previous achievements. Now look at her income screenshot below the $103 and Earnings, and you would see +107k% vs previous period. It means Angela Nwosu earnings increased by 107,000%!
Now a 107,000% increment means Angela Nwosu only made $0.096 (about 39 Nigerian Naira only) the previous period!
If she has been earning from Facebook, definitely we wont see a flat graph with a single surge, we would be seeing some series of up and down lines or zigzag as most people would think of.
This clearly means she was not earning big from Facebook regularly or back to back as she claimed.
Probably, she did a promotion or advertisement on or off facebook and the increased activity saw a sudden spike in profit. Marketers are conversant with this! So she probably spent more money on adverts to get the $103 profit and the sudden spike in profits will go down once her paid advert or promotion ends!
There is also no way organic earnings can suddenly spike by 107,000 percent! Never possible! It is always a gradual climb.
So Angela Nwosu aka Digital Ogbanje clearly lied on her Facebook earnings just to create another market buzz and continue to gluein her fans with the “I am rich” mentality, and who knows, she might have been lying on the efficacy of her products or who she actually is!
