A married woman identified as Matilda, connived with her sister to poison her husband to death, over suspicion of infidelity.
It was gathered that Matilda saw another woman’s picture on her husband, Emem Etim Marley’s phone and concluded he was having an affair with her.
She then planed with her sister to sell off her husband’s cars and took his land documents before poisoning him to death.
Neighbors got wind of the horror after they heard Emen calling for help. They came banging on his door, but his wife had locked him inside before running off with her sister. When the door was eventually forced open, Emen was found lying dead on the floor.
His wife and sister were eventually tracked to their father’s house where they ran to and were arrested.
They however held that he must have taken the position of his own will, and had no hand in it.
The marriage was only 8 months old, and it was gathered that Emen always treated her right, bought her a car recently, and opened a store for her.
