The Nigerian Police Service Commission has suspended Abba Kyari, the police deputy commissioner indefinitely. This is coming after he was indicted by Hushpuppi in a $1.1 Million fraud case which necessitated the US FBI to issue an arrest warrant for him.
Abba Kyari was relieved of his duties effective July 31st, pending the conclusion of the investigation of his involvement in the money laundering case.
The decision of the Police Service Commission was delivered via a letter to the Inspector General of Police. It also charged the IG of Police to always keep them abreast of further development with respect to the case.
