Nigerian DSS has arrested 3 Israeli filmmakers who came to Nigeria to shoot an ongoing documentary titled “We Were Never Lost.”
The 3 men arrested are Rudy Rochman, Noam Leibman, and French-Israeli journalist E. David Benaym.
The purpose of the movie documentary- We Were Never Lost, was to explore Jewish communities in African countries.
The 3 Israeli men were arrested by the Nigerian DSS at a synagogue in Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State.
They were taken to Abuja and interrogated on suspicion of trying to make contact with the arrested leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
The Igbo tribe sometimes associates themselves as being part of the biblical Israelites. It is however unclear if there is a connection with the documentary titled “We Were Never Lost”.
