Nnamdi Kanu was reportedly captured when he was lured from Brazil to Kenya, by the Nigerian authorities, to collect an undisclosed amount of money. After he was captured, he was immediately flown back to Nigeria in a waiting aircraft.

According to the report, Nnamdi Kanu has since been under their radar. He was contacted by agents from the Nigerian authority posing to be in support of the actualization of Biafra. The Nigerian authorities posing as pro-Biafra agents then asked Nnamdi Kanu to come down to Kenya to collect an undisclosed amount of money which will be used to further support the struggle for Biafra, as was a norm.

Nnamdi Kanu then left his Brazil base, for Kenya, to collect the money. It was also reported that he did not inform his members of the purpose of his travel, a move critics suggest was because he wanted to siphon the money for his personal use.

On getting to Kenya, Nnamdi Kanu was shocked when he realized it was a trick and he has been fooled all along. He was immediately arrested and whisked down to Nigeria from Kenya, though the Kenyan authorities have denied knowledge and participation in the arrest of the pro-Biafran agitator.

Nnamdi Kanu is been charged in court in Nigeria for treason and felony.

In the pictured which made rounds in social media, the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, was seen wearing a designer Fendi clothing, which puts weight to reports that he was living lavishly with funds donated for the strugle for the actualization of the Biafran state.
