First news had it that Godswill Obioma, the head, Registrar of the National Examination Council, also known as NECO, was killed by assassins who lurked around his home at Minna and strangled him to death when he got inside after he returned from a trip from Abuja.
However, as Nigerians were assimulating the rude shock of the news of the assassination of the Registrar, who is also a professor of educational measurement and evaluation, his son, Prince Godswill Obioma, announced that his father and Registrar of NECO- Late Godswill Obioma, was not killed by any assassin or un-natural means, but that he died after a brief illness!
The late Registrar’s cause of death as updated by his son is entirely different and in contrast to the cause of death given by his wife, who initially said he was killed by strangulation by assassins.
