There was a complete observation of the sit-at-home order by IPOB to commemorate the Biafra Remembrance Day. Institutions were closed as well as shops and other private businesses to observe the Biafra day, either in allegiance to the Biafra struggle or fear of loss of lives or properties- which risk been looted.
Video clips were shared by some social media users showing the highways and business centers which always throbbed with high activity, now desolate, because of Biafra Day.
The sit-at-home order for Biafra Day was observed in all the 5 Eastern states of the Eastern region. It is remarkably peaceful and can be taken as the most peaceful sit-at-home by Biafra since its inception, as there has been no reported case of destruction or looting of properties by thugs.
