There is a report that a military jet- ATR-42, belonging to the Nigerian Airforce, crash-landed two weeks ago, and the authorities covered up the incidence to avoid further embarrassment, by not reporting it.
It was gathered that the military jet was conveying topabout 15 to 20 military personnel to Imo State, to curb the ongoing violence in the Eastern Region, when it crash-landed in Akure.
There was no fatality in the sad incidence, though a number of the passanger-personnel were injured.
According to the report which was gotten by Sahara Reporters, the Military Authorities ordered that no photograph of the ill-fated aircraft be taken and it shouldn’t be reported to media.
The ATR-42 crash-landed about a week before late Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru died in a NAF jet crash in Kaduna state.
