President Muhammadu Buhari has sensationally revealed that a Federal Lawmaker is among the sponsors of separatists leaders, Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu.
Buhari said in an address to the Nation to mark Nigeria’s 61 years of Independence.
“The recent arrests of Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho Adeyemo, and the ongoing investigations being conducted have revealed certain high-profile financiers behind these individuals.
He also revealed the Government is vigorously pursuing the sponsors.
“We are vigorously pursuing these financiers including one identified as a serving member of the national assembly.”
Sunday Igboho has been detained in Benin Republic, while Nnamdi Kanu is in DSS’ custody awaiting trial.
