Just days after Harry Potter star Warwick Davis announced the loss of his wife Samantha, the actor had fans worried with a late-night social media post that read “I’m done here, Signing off” followed by a broken heart emoji.
However, their two children were quick to reassure his followers that Davis is simply taking a break from the online world as he grieves.
“Thank you everyone for looking out for our Dad, he is taking some time away from social media,” wrote Annabelle and Harrison Davis in an update to their father’s initial tweet. “He apologizes if his last message caused anyone concern. We appreciate all of your love and support.”
Warwick Davis’ wife of 35 years, Samantha, had passed away on March 24th. In his statement, the Willow star called Samantha his “most trusted confidant” whose “passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family.”
Samantha was also an actress who co-founded the charity Little People UK supporting people with dwarfism. She even made a cameo alongside her husband in the final Harry Potter film.
Following her passing, their children paid tribute on X, saying:
“Our Mum, the kindest, most inspirational and loving Mumma we could have wished for, devastatingly passed away on the 24th March. While it’s a very difficult time for us, we’re humbled by everyone who has reached out to offer support & to express how Sammy impacted their lives.”
