As his stardom continues to ascend with roles in hits like “Purple Hearts” and “The Idea of You,” Nicholas Galitzine is taking an admirably grounded approach to navigating Hollywood’s often toxic fame machine. The 29-year-old British actor recently revealed his strategies for maintaining normalcy and preserving his core values amid the relentless glare of the spotlight.

“It’s all about setting boundaries,” Nicholas Galitzine told IndieWire candidly. “I have my non-negotiables, my family, my loved ones, my friends. I always try and carve out time for them.”

Rather than get swept up in the darker currents of celebrity culture, the affable rising star consciously avoids “the more toxic parts of Hollywood.” His tight-knit circle of non-industry friends helps keep him centered on what truly matters.

“I’m not really engaged with the more toxic parts of Hollywood that I think do exist out there. And none of my friends who are in the industry are as well,” he explained.

At his core, Nicholas Galitzine remains driven by an authentic creative passion that first sparked his dream of acting. “I love the job for what it is, which is a creative endeavor,” he reflected. When not on set, his life is “just incredibly normal” – walking, exploring nature, dining out. Simple pleasures that ground him.

“Maybe I’m speaking from a point of naivety, but I’ve managed to maintain that till this day, and I hope I can continue to create a space for myself where I’m still able to do those things that I feel so passionately about,” Galitzine said.

His latest film, Prime Video’s “The Idea of You” opposite Anne Hathaway, has further elevated his profile. But rather than letting fame go to his head, the young actor seems determined to stay true to himself while expanding his artistic boundaries.

“My tastes are very varied, which is exciting,” he said, hoping to explore genres from action to sci-fi to Westerns. “It’s certainly an approach I’ve kind of taken in the last couple of years towards my work is really trying to find the light and shade of what I’m capable of.”
