About Bette Midler’s Tweet On Women’s Right Over their Bodies & Lives

How awful and oppressive it must be for TERFs to be unable to take a long holiday weekend off from promoting their purportedly repressed beliefs in favor of simply hanging out and enjoying a hot dog or some potato salad.

However, these idiots are true rise-and-grind racists, so this weekend, let’s see who showed up with their stupid fucking point of view. Of course, Bette Midler comes first. One of the worst Bette Midler tweets in recent memory occurred this past weekend, though Twitter has become something of a haven for her awful tweets. Midler posted the following panicked, pointless rallying cry to “women of the world”:

Midler’s tweet was a response to Pamela Paul’s disgusting op-ed, which compared the far right’s fight on reproductive rights with “the far left’s” (false) demand for gender-inclusive terminology. Paul and Midler contend—without any solid justification since there is none—that the pro-choice movement has been harmed in some way by linguistic inclusion efforts.

The trans rights and reproductive rights movements, which are concerned not only with the right to personhood but also with the economic freedom that goes along with it, are inextricably linked by bodily autonomy, which is something that these allegedly second-wave feminists of a certain age fail to recognize.

Following that, Macy Gray made an odd appearance on Piers Morgan’s show (Piers Morgan Uncensored – since when was he censored?) In which she talked about how we need to develop American “culture” and how the American flag is no longer respected. Making the colors of the stars symbolize a wider range of skin tones is her solution to the problem. Exactly right!

Gray continued to discuss the much-criticized idea of femininity, even saying, “If you want me to call you a “her,” I will, because that’s what you want, but that doesn’t make you a woman simply because I call you a “her,” and just because you had surgery.” It sounds like the kind of story that would only be featured on Piers Morgan Uncensored to jump from a passionate call for more cultural diversity to an immediate focus on women. Gray is being “slammed” for “transphobic sentiments” by what Morgan refers to as a “savage” bunch of “activists,” as the youngster who cried canceled had foreseen.

The growing hostility over the weekend seems all too predictable, all too harsh, and most importantly, all too pointless. Of course, “women” is still OK to use. For instance, in the statement: these women should quit promoting their ridiculous beliefs.
