Crystal Palace displayed a dramatic comeback from two goals down to secure a 3-3 tie at Selhurst Park against AFC Bournemouth through a hat-trick scored in the second half by Jean-Philippe Mateta.

AFC Bournemouth, which came into the game as a visitor to Selhurst Park, ended the first half with a 2-0 lead through the two goals scored by Eli Kroupi. Not long after the commencement of the second half, Mateta netted two goals quickly to pull a draw.

Ryan Christie looks to have helped the visitors to earn three points when he fired into Palace’s net in the 89th minute, but Palace’s effort to yield a draw paid off when Marc Guehi fouled Bafode Diakite in stoppage time, which allowed the team to secure a draw against AFC Bournemouth.

Mateta took the opportunity to convert the penalty into a goal, which made it his first hat-trick in the Premier League, securing a draw for the home side.

The draw makes AFC Bournemouth sit in fourth place in the Premier League table with a total of 15 points earned, while Crystal Palace sits in 13th of 20th in the competition, extending their undefeated home streak.
