
Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has rejected Trump’s social media cry for the impeachment of U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg after he dismissed his deportation plans.
Since his Inauguration as the current President of the United States, Trump has taken his deportation plans very seriously. However, his latest deportations of alleged Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador have caused tensions between the judiciary and the executive arms of the government.
“For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision,” Roberts said.
“The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose.”
The Chief Justice had to take a stand to counter the current controversies in the United States from Trump’s policies, especially after the President’s social media post.
“HE DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING! I WON FOR MANY REASONS, IN AN OVERWHELMING MANDATE, BUT FIGHTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MAY HAVE BEEN THE NUMBER ONE REASON FOR THIS HISTORIC VICTORY,” Trump wrote on Truth social media platform. Subtly, it seems the judiciary is the only stumbling block limiting Trump’s unnecessary display of power and the conflict between him and the Judiciary is quickly barreling towards a point of no return.
Trump accused Judge Boasberg of interfering with a presidential job and crossing the line.
“That’s a presidential job,” he said. “That’s not for a local judge to be making that determination.”
The President has constantly been coming for the judiciary, accusing most of them of working for the Democratic party and trying to sabotage his government.
