A video that showed a high-rise statue of Jesus Christ being constructed on the White House lawn and making waves on social media is not real but a fake CGI.
The AI video was first posted on TikTok where it quickly went viral and spread to other social networks. It showed a completed 200-foot statue of Jesus Christ Our Saviour with outstretched arms standing tall in front of the Presidential White House lawn. Watch below:
The fake video came with various misleading captions; from people praising Donald Trump for installing the massive Jesus statue in a bid to draw the United States back to Christianity and God. Another popular user said the statue was a reminder that Jesus is now over America and that “no government, no leader, no law is greater than the KING of KINGS, and that God’s shadow now covers the White House.
Though some asked if the monument was real, many misinformed comments also littered the posts. The Jesus Christ statue was also celebrated as an upturn to what happened on the same White House lawn where former President Joe Biden celebrated LGBTQ Pride Month and transgender Rose Montoya bared her boobs.
The White House Jesus Statue was also easily believed as true because many Christians see President Trump as standing on the side of Jesus and as their savior.
The misleading video again serves as a reminder of the dangers of artificial intelligence and computer-generated imagery which has become so advanced and has significantly blurred the lines in detecting reality and fake.
