It is very unusual to see a police officer make use of his fist to subdue an erring person. That was exactly what happened at the EverBank Stadium when the two security men rained tight-fisted heavy punches straight on football fans.
The video that circulated from the game between Florida and Georgia on Saturday was not complete without showing two stadium security cops beating two football fans with reckless abandon. Watch below:
Though what happened before the beat-down was sketchy, some claimed there was unruly behavior between some fans, and when the security personnel came to intervene, one or two of the victims tried reaching for his belt, which housed his gun.
“He’s lucky that’s all that happened after he clearly reached for the officers gun,” a user wrote on X.
Another side hinted at black-on-white racism, claiming that the internet would have been on fire if it was a white cop who was physically assaulting a black person in that manner. However, from the video, the second officer involved in the beatdown was a white cop, and he too was raining blows on a white man.
“That black cop needs to be fired immediately. If it was a white cop and black fan you know what would happen. Fire him.” Another wrote.
Another video of the supposedly same black cop was also shared where he approached a fan and tased him after beckoning him to get off. His colleague tased the football fan again after he got off the first shot, and the “fistful” cop immediately pounced on the unfortunate fellow, delivering straight punches on his fans while clenching a handcuff, bloodying his face, and ruining his clothes in the process.
Once more, the debate of a racist cop or one with anger issues arose, though some argue that he was simply doing his job which might involve the use of physical force where necessary.

The viral video once again revealed one of the dangers of incomplete or partial information. A quick check showed an initial clip released by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) when the man in the second footage told the officers that he would rather kill a cop than leave the private property he was staying in.
He argued that he wouldn’t leave because his five kids were in that section and that “he” was trying to kidnap them When he was asked to go with his children, he responded that he would rather go to jail and threatened to beat the officers up.
