Aston Villa played a 0-0 draw against Juventus in their recent Champions League clash that ended in a late controversy in England.

The goalkeeper’s good saves were very much needed for Villa to prevent a home embarrassment, especially when he made a brilliant close-range save to prevent Francisco Conceição from scoring in the 65th minute.
The Argentina star performed excellently despite limited good chances from both teams.
Controversy was generated at stoppage time when Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers fired a shot into the opposition’s net, but the goal was ruled out by the referee after claiming that Diego Carlos had committed a foul against Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio in the build-up to the goal.
Unai Emery, Aston Villa’s coach, expressed disappointment at the referee’s decision, calling it “soft.”
Juventus dominated the match in the early minutes but was unable to create good chances. Kenan Yildiz almost scored a goal in the 20th minute, while Timothy Weah blasted over during a counter-attack.
Aston Villa also created another chance that almost landed in the net through a free kick by Lucas Digne, which hit the crossbar, and Leon Bailey’s effort that was saved by Manuel Locatelli.
Villa currently sits in the 9th position in the standings, having not won any match in all their last seven games across all competitions. While Juventus sits in 19th position on the Champions League standings.
